I got rejected by a job interview. Is it possible that they are holding my application for the next time they’re hiring?

It’s at Macy’s

No, they might keep it for their records. but when the next time you will visit them, you have to submit the updated version of your CV. Hundreds of employees approach them. Everyone has their own priorities. Employees once left the company might have some reason that makes the differences in their lives and most importantly on their CVs. Therefore, you need to submit that again, no matter whether they will approach you on their own or on the basis of old CV.

Don't hold your breath. It's probably on its way to the incinerator as we speak.

They might keep your application in their system. However, it's unlikely they will contact you again after rejecting you.
