How to stop my mother from watching home and away, it's a garbage show?

If she's reading this, she is probably embarrassed about having a kid with garbage manners.

Find another garbage show that's mildly more tolerable. Good luck though if you're in Aus, it's that, neighbours or finding something online.

Kid, you can't dictate to your mother what shows she watches. After all, it's HER TV set - it's not yours.

How immature are you that you think you need to dictate what your mother does?

That may be but it's her choice to make. Let her be.

And if you want to put it in writing to her, try to impress her by using a better standard of language (including using capitals where needed) than you have used in your question.

She probably thinks you watch garbage as well. Why must you control someone's TV viewing?

Try to find out if she doesn't have any interests that she might want to do instead. Maybe it's something she used to do and would want to try again or maybe it's something she has always wanted to try but never has. If you find out what might interest her then give her a little push by encouraging her to try it and possibly even offer to do it with her at first.

Basically help her get a hobby.
