What's the POINT about THE BIBLE that ATHEISTS are unable to UNDERSTAND? Is ROCKET SCIENCE after all?

Oh, we understand the bible just fine, child. Usually, we know it far better than you do. It's not rocket science, you're right. It's just a compilation of primitive, middle eastern fairy tales.
Taken in its context, and without the ridiculous, childish claim that it is "gods word," and it's an entertaining, and x-rated insight into Jewish and middle-eastern mythology and culture thousands of years ago. No more applicable to today than the Brother Grimm or Mother Goose fairy tales.

probably they don't understand how you can declare something true when it contradicts itself every other turn

Oh, we understand it quite well. That’s why we don’t believe it’s the word of any real god.

Christian - "The Bible is the word of God!"
Muslim - "The Koran is the word of Allah!"
Mormons - "The Book of Mormon is the story of Jesus in America!"
Hindus - "The Vedas are the wisdom of the gods!"
100CE Greeks and Romans - "Ovid tells the truth of Zeus and the gods!"
500BCE Egyptians - "The book of the dead tells the story of Osiris!"
Vikings - "The Sagas tell us the will of Odin!"
All of them claim they are right with the same certainly. They all point to miracles and prophecy as evidence. When you can tell me why everyone else is wrong and you are right then we can have a discussion. Right now, all you have is your unsubstantiated claim that the Bible is valid.

Most atheists read the Bible with their minds already made up that there is no God. The Bible does make more sense to someone who is open to the possibility that God exists than to someone who doesn't. The power of God does explain a lot that is in the Bible.

What do you mean "ATHEIST are unable to UNDERSTAND?"
FICTITIOUS "Christians" are unable to UNDERSTAND!"
MOST don't believe what JESUS SAID
"Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of GOD and >>>HIS<<< righteousness and ALL THESE THINGS will be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33).
Did you see >>>HIS<<< in Matthew 6:33???
MOST don't know "the Kingdom of GOD" is "the Holy Ghost" who is JESUS (John 14:18) and is why they don't know Matthew 6:33 is speaking of "Seeking the Holy Ghost FIRST" as JESUS commanded the disciples on the Day of Pentecost when HE commanded them to "WAIT" for the promise" (Acts 1:4) of Holy Spirit baptism (Acts 1:5) so they could receive "POWER" (Acts 1:8) and be given the "Spiritual gifts" of "wisdom and knowledge" (I Corinthians 12:8) to "UNDERSTAND" what the Word of God mean so mankind won't feel like it's "ROCKET SCIENCE" because HE "will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13)!
RUN ON SENTENCE OR WHAT?
THAT'S THE WAY GOD GAVE IT TO ME AND NOT CORRECT GRAMMAR FROM THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT!
THANK YOU JESUS (Matthew 11:25)!

The bible's point is easy. That's why we Christians don't understand why atheists don't understand. So unless they have learning difficulties ... well ... God is the Judge. Amen.
A person has to be "sent" by GOD (I Cor 12:28). "For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him" (Jn 3:34)!

We do understand it. that's why we don't believe it.
Do you?
Anyone with a closed mind can claim to understand something that they reject.

If God had not touched me, I would think the Bible would be the silliest book ever written.
But I believe it to be true.
And I will not put anyone down for not believing the way I do.
A person has to be "sent" by GOD (I Cor 12:28). "For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him" (Jn 3:34)!

this picture describes it
Edit: Lord Bearclaw of Gryphon Woods came along to prove it.
Norine. If you were speaking to a Muslim and they quoted the Koran as a reference for why they think you are wrong... would you be swayed by that? Is that compelling to you? I doubt it.
Then why do you quote the Bible at atheists?
