Are these shiba markings possible or photoshop?

    Could be a somatic mutation.

    ETA: Upon further research, the dog has been dyed "to look like the fox she's often mistaken for."

    Uh, no. That is DEFINITELY photoshop. That, or he's a very busy artist.

    Either that, photoshop, or the dog has been in an inkwell!! Not normal but I will have a search!! As you could do too?

    You really have to ask this? It's so OBVIOUSLY Photoshopped or dyed black. They're trying to make the dog look like a fox. This is probably from China or Japan when the focus is on cuteness with ZERO regard to what it may do to the animal.

    I thought photoshopped for sure, but there seems to be several of this dog online including the picture you've given, however, that doesn't look like a good breed standard Shiba Inu anyway.

    This is what a good Shiba Inu should look like.

      Seriously? So one person dyes their dog's legs black and that makes it "real" because there's several photos of it online?
