Is looking up someone on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn without their knowledge considered stalking?

Not really. As long as you're only looking and not constantly going to the same person's link.

No ppl put themselves on social media to be seen so what's the problem? I do it all the time ppl look me up all the time

It is But they wont know that you been Looking at there Profile Facebook and Twitter does not Tell there Users who Views there Profile

If you do it once, it's just "checking out". If you were paid to do it, it's called "character investigation". If it's to help you analyze his character, just one time, then say it's "research". However, if you do it in all social sites habitually day in and day out, trying to learn everything about him through the internet without really speaking to him face-to-face then that's stalking!

No, there’s a reason you can just look up someone on those sites.
It can be part of stalking, but that alone isn’t stalking
