Not a bad idea actually.  There are 2 Senators from every state already, why not extend their representation to Supreme Court.

NO.. and there should only be 1 Federal Court Of Appeals sitting next to the Supreme Court.

SCOTUS was designed to be small enough to enter into thoughtful, deliberative debate. Making it just a (half) second Senate defeats that purpose.

No, because the judiciary is supposed to be independent from political influence as much as possible. This is why we have the circuit courts of appeals which are composed of larger numbers of judges from the several states that each circuit represents.

Instead of our current method of Senate and House of Representatives what we need to have is 2 presidents of the United States of America one representing the Democratic party one representing the Republican party living at the White House and they will take their suggestions from the people and their bills that are submitted to them from the people and from the state congress. They will iron out their differences one man to one man. If they are unable to iron out their differences one man to one man. The two parties will come before the 50 members of the supreme Court Justice one member from each state and they will cast a vote! The supreme Court will represent the people of the United States and will have authority over both of the party presidents. with this system in place we might actually get some work done! having a president who is a republican one term and then having a president that's a Democrat forms a complete vicious circle where nothing ever gets done!

No. That would allow an even split on too many decisions. Plus we have too many judges right now, we need to cut the number down to five.

Sure! Let's make it 100... One for each Senator. or 435... One for each Congressman! Then our courts will REALLY be screwed up!

I agree, it has to be an odd number.
