Society rarely talks much about the jobs we (rather stupidly) view as less valuable, respectable, or important in general. Doesn't mean there aren't women doing it, society just doesn't tend to care about those who do it either way.
I mean, it's the same for how people do talk a little about a need for more male nurses, but who ever brings up a need for more male secretaries or associates who work the floor of clothing stores?
"CEO's, scientists, politicians etc." though also have an impact on society the way many jobs do not, and yeah, better representation of more demographics, including women, who care about the issues that affect said demographic are always a good thing.
