Are there stems in tobacco?

    yes tobacco has stems, although they are removed.  every once and a while i get a little bit of a stem in my pipe tobacco

    Yes, but they're taken out during the drying and cleaning process.

    In bagged, loose “pipe” tobacco there’s definitely some hard bits like stems. In actual packs of cigarettes the tobacco they use is more finely chopped up but I’m certain a few stems get into the mix.
