Why do Czechs integrate better than Serbs in the USA?

I don't know that that's true. But the Czech Republic is an EU nation with a lot of western influence thus making Czechs perhaps more tolerant of western norms. Meanwhile Serbians remain very proud of their eastern European ethos and might not wish to assimilate into more western cultures. Perhaps also the last taste of US military involvement the Czechs experienced was positive (freeing the Sudetenland from Nazi control) whereas the Serbs have gotten spanked by US military might as recently as the 1990's. That said I've known a few Serbs who immigrated to the US and did just fine there.

In the 1990s , Serbia got the reputation for being the new European Nazi state -- and many of its population still don't seem to think they did anything wrong .
