There is NO SUCH THING as a military smartwatch. The smartwatches used by SOME members of the military are the same ones used by civilians.

The smartwatches I saw on military issues were made by Garmin and Suunto. The army issues them to the pilots because they have a barometric alligator to let the airline crew know if the aircraft's OBOGS cabin has failed to rise. These incidents have led to damage to the crew and in some cases to the aircraft. So it was smart to take an action such as providing a watch to save the airplane and a human airliner.

These watches were purchased from the military shelves. These were, and still are, commercially available.

What makes a smartwatch a 'military smartwatch?'

If you are actually in the military and enter an environment where classified information is processed, you shouldn't even bother wearing a smartwatch as you will have to take it off every time you enter the area.
