Macbook < Manage Storage < IOS Files?

So I am trying to free storage on my Mac and under IOS Files is my phone, which is taking up 44.02 GB (not MB, I don't know how it is that much). What will happen if I delete this? Will it erase my entire phone? I just need to get my phone off of my Mac since it's taking up so much storage and I'm not sure how to do that.

Thanks!

No, those are backups of your iPhone. Realistically all you need is the latest backup, what I would do is delete them and then do a fresh backup.

That is of course you want iPhone backups on your Mac, if you use iCloud for backups then you don’t need these backups at all.

    Delete then disable backups forever!
