Would more Buddhists (themselves atheists) in the world impact god-based religions? Likewise would more non-Buddhist atheists make an impact?

Every group makes an impact simply because it introduces yet something else to think about. Humans are often curious and when there is something different, we want to at least know a little bit about it.

Atheism actually has no impact upon the gods nor those who chose in the gods. They do seem to fear the right of others to chose not only in other gods but no gods at all too.

There already has been an influence. Incidentally, Buddhists are not necessarily atheists, but tend to consider God irrelevant whether God exists or not. But something like Quakerism is certainly influenced by Buddhism and many Buddhists go to Quaker meetings.
