If you take a living fresh fish from the sea on land and put salt on it, will it survive?

No, but you have pre-salted fish jerky.

If you take a fish out of water it's gills will stick together and it suffocates.

If we put you at the bottom of a fresh water lake, what happens?

    No, it will die, suffering...

Well no, because the poor thing would suffocate as it isn't submerged. I'm sure the salt isn't ideal on its skin, but in the time it takes the creature to asphyxiate, it wouldn't do anything I should imagine.

No. But it will taste nice and salty when you cook it!
