Is there any chance at all that cancer will be curable in the near or distant future?

So many years gone by and still it's fatal disease for many

Some cancers ARE "curable" now. .But Instead of trying to find a "cure" for cancer, research should be focusing on developing a vaccine that will PREVENT cancer.

It's just like polio. There's no "cure" for polio once you develop it; but research has developed a vaccine that PREVENTS polio.

There is a possibility but remember that 'cancer' is not just one disease, it is a group of around 200 different diseases and it is naive to expect a single cure.

We have been looking for a cure to the common cold for far longer.

I had a major cancer in 2002. It was treated very aggressively and, against all statistics, I survived. More people are surviving now.
