If I was to buy a scratch off lottery ticket under 18 then when I turn 18 could I cash it? ?

    No. It is actually illegal for anyone under 18 to buy a lottery ticket, so they won't pay if you win.

    If you're about to turn the legal age of purchasing lottery tickets where you reside, yes.

    But keep in mind that lottery tickets do expire and prizes cannot be claimed after expiration. Where I live, it's one year but some regions have shorter windows.

    If we are talking about a matter of weeks, then yes. Easily.

    The lottery doesn't know exactly when you bought it.

    But if it's a year after they stopped making those tickets, they might have a problem with it.

    • Alright because it says to cash it within 180 days after the game ends which would be enough time for me to turn 18 and cash it thanks for the answer!
