Compared to before, have less and less people who still use desktops, most of them all use laptops today?

Hardly matters, my lappy is easy enough to take on the go.
I am more inclined to go with my tablet as an alternative.
In the office, I see desktops, on the move laptops and few tables.
Everybody has smartphones.

They're both computers with different capabilities. It's like comparing "eating with a spoon" and "eating from a plate". It does not matter what you have. What matters is that you get the job done using what you have.

I still use a desk top because I have poor eyesight, so I have a big monitor .....

after getting through your tortured question, I think you are asking if more people use laptops 'today' than desktops.
That is probably true as 'cheaper' laptops can now meet most of the specifications for normal users needs.
serious gamers still prefer a dedicated space, and the ability to add components, that comes with a desktop setup.
