How do you build a good solar oven?

Buying is not an option

    Live somewhere reallly hot.

    Then just leave a black baking sheet in the sun for 5 minutes and you can cook on it;

    Anywhere else is a struggle.

    Best bet would be a black tin box and about 500 4x4ft mirrors focused onto it.Although on a good day you may melt it.

    You can download plans for a parabolic reflector.

    You need highly reflective sheet metal and a few other things. I'd just buy one, and even then, don't expect to get the results you get from a conventional oven.
