Life in the USA means having a wealth of options. With a surface area of a little under 10 million square kilometers, the USA is the third-largest country in the world. Make the USA your new home and find your dream job in the US state of your choice. Whether you prefer a bustling metropolis or a quiet town, everybody will find their dream location in the USA. Let yourself be inspired by other US immigrants: Where do most immigrants live in America? Now it’s your turn: Make your own personal American dream a reality. A US Green Card opens all the doors to opportunity.

I agree with Charles. I will say that the poorest people in America still have it better than people in a lot of other countries, because we have freedoms and choices they don't have. Decide what you want out of life, research each of the 50 states before moving, and then go where you think you could make a living and be happy. You don't say where you live now, so we deon't know how to make a comparison for you.

    Compared to where?

Living in America isn't nirvana, but it may seem like compared to other places (Venezuela comes to mind). Compared to some European locations American living might not seem so great?

The violence you may hear about in America is primarily consolidated in specific locations like certain sections of Baltimore, Chicago and some other large cities. For vast majority of American's violence isn't something that is part of their lives. The news media blows the whole violence/gun/crime situation way out of proportion. Mass shootings are new phenomena.

America doesn't have good public transportation, except in a few select large cities. So most American's need a car to get anywhere - hence our thirst for oil. Almost everyone old enough to drive owns a car, some own multiple vehicles.

The divide between rich and poor is getting wider every year with more and more people falling on the poor side. While we may all appear to be wealthy the majority of people live pay check to pay check.

..........not sure what else you want to know?

It's horrible! The KFC patrols the streets and kills chickens at random. You have to be specific. Every state is like a different country with its own culture.
