is it possible to be more than 42 weeks pregnant?

I'm 41 weeks pregnant now and there seem to be no real signs of labor.

    at this point you arent even pregnant still, the child has chosen his home and where to grow, and he chose your stomach, dont be scared when you start to overgrow, you will soon explode, and decompose, dont be worried though, now the baby will be fully grown and will repopulate, good news

    Trust your gut.At 42 weeks,the baby is fully grown,but the placenta has a short lifespan.The doctors usually will induce labor.But,too many complications with C- sections. Once you have one,the scar tissue never feels the same.

    Source(s): 3 kids,1st two by c-section.Wife had toxemia as well.

    Fairly unusual. You should now be in the care of a midwife or doctor, who might be doing something to induce the birth.

    It's possible, sure.

    But it comes with a fair amount of risk for the baby so hopefully your doctor or midwife is monitoring you carefully and making plans for an induction in the next week.

    When my 4th baby was born I was 42 weeks and 3 days

    Yes, but most doctors would be talking about inducing at this point.

    Of course. I went to almost 43wks with my son.
