Septoplasty/Mucosa Turbinate?

Im 18 and have gotten a Septoplasty earlier today with mucosa turbinate reduction as the doctor called it. So far the pain hasn’t been bad and i am supposed to have splints in my nose for 5 days. I looked up Empty Nose Syndrome before the surgery and found that reducing turbinates gives ENS. I asked my surgeon before the surgery if i have any chance at all getting it and he said no. Today though i’ve been able to breathe out my nose the whole day even though there’s blood in their. The air in the nose feels cold which worries me because that’s a symptom of ENS, am I getting symptoms of ENS? or am i just really lucky to be able to breathe with splints and not have much pain.
