or riding a bike running, or walking their baby in a stroller. (talking about males that are in their late 30s or early 40s. )

A lot of people live off of generous inheritances or other forms of unearned income.

People don't all have to work 9-5 jobs...esp those who OWN their own businesses or WORK from HOME (raising my hand here). I get to walk a dog...and ANSWER SILLY STUPID QUESTIONS on Yahoo...which is FUN, when I get to YELL AT THE IDIOTS asking STUPID QUESTIONS!!! (that would be you!)

Work at home is a growing trend. If you write software, for example, you can be a lot more productive away from traditional office nonsense.

The 'middle of the day' for most people is called 'lunchtime.' Most men get tasked with the job of letting fido out to do his business during their lunch hour, which is usually when unemployed guys from the hood also drive up in their uninsured beaters to case rich guys' houses for future reference. Duly noted.

Who Cares? I sure don't. Why are you just driving around rich neighborhoods?

The rich don't have to work, so they have free time in the middle of the day. However, many rich people work a lot, but they don't have bosses to order them to work at a specific time, so they enjoy the warm sun when they can. The book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" emphasized that a person could work very hard and earn very little money, and another person could work little, but make a lot of money.
