I think that you're confusing gender with sexual identity. The first one is biological and can't be altered. If you carry two X chromosomes in the 23rd pair, then you're a regular female. If you carry an X and a Y chromosome, then you're a male (in the human species). A minority of people carry an extra or lack a chromosome in their sex pair (X0, XXY, XYY...) and they're usually infertile. The presence of a Y chromosome is what makes someone a male.

Sexual identity is a more complex thing, because gender roles are a learned thing. I guess that each of us feels different regarding to this. Many feel very feminine, others very masculine and others fall somewhere in between or don't care much and just feel human.

Isn't sexual identity about who you're attracted to either romantically or sexually? because that plays no role in gender identity. Biological gender is a "what's in the pants" deal, however gender identity is something which can be fluid and changed, which is a separate thing to sexual identity.

Human gender is either male or female so the maximum number of genders is two. If you asked about the number of gender characteristics, the answer would be different.

There are TWO biological genders and hundreds of forms of gender dysphoria.

There are THREE sexes; male sex, female sex, insects.

There is male female and intersex

But because in majority chromosomes split into xx or xy... they haven’t made intersex a gender yet. However I do believe in the far future there will be.

    Homosexuality is NOT intersex!!!!!

    Transsexual is not intersex!!!

Homosexuality is a sexual orientation and transsexualism is something to do with emotions.

Intersex is when a person is born with both testes and uterus

Or born with a vagina and an extended clitoris (aka penis)

It’s a very odd phenomenon but it happens.

Why can't you just accept that gender and sex are not the same thing? Gender is a social construct, as repeated and tired as that point is. Look it up, gender is just what we think of a certain gender idiot.

    Could be. It's totally possible.

But with biological sex, however, there are only two…

Source(s): We should change the bathroom from men and women to "standers" and "squatters." I think this makes more sense, and is much more gender neutral.
