Is chewing the insides of my bottom lip part of a mental disorder or am I just stupid?

I subconsciously (sometimes consciously) chew on the inside of my bottom lip all the time. Is this normal? I think i do it when im anxious but sometimes im not sure. I usually do it until I bleed. Is this bad? And is it a big problem?

    It's probably both.

I think it might’ve just started out as a response to anxiety but it has probably become a habit over time. I think it’s normal to chew your lip or something like that because of anxiety but it’s probably not good to do it until you bleed. Might be a good idea to find a different type of coping mechanism that doesn’t harm you.
