Why is Europe historically such a bad continent?
The historical UK = Feudalism, kingdom led directly by monarchs, imperialism beginning with its own countries on its island and it's neighboring Islands.
Death as a penalty for ordinary street sh!t.
France = Feudalism and absolute monarchy and an 3 estate system that left the people there in squalor.
The actions within the French Revolution.
Dictatorship directly after the Revolution.
Italy: The Roman Empire, Corruption, Poverty and ineffective government and fascism.
It Was not Germany until the 1870s, before the 1870s, it was a collection, a confederacy of different countries with different languages, called the Holy Roman Empire.
The modern german language is in fact the Prussian language, not German.
This is because it was unified into Germany by the Prussians.. A bunch of ruthless, dictatorial murderers...
The legacy of the Prussian murderers caused both world wars.
And that's just western Europe.

Is this coming from an American? Probably the same reasons North America is.

Every continent has a bad history where people in the past believed if you could defeat those there you were entitled to rake what they had and even kill them or enslave them. Africa still has tribal and religious wars, America was forged out of pushing the Indians off their land and massacring many of them, Australia had the same happen there, the middle east still has major religious wars where many are killed just to thin them out a bit, and Asia has had its share of wars in the past.
Most countries these days do their best to avoid war but it largely no0w seems the more primitive countries where many still have tribal and religious mentalities who seem bent on genocide and stealing things like oil wells. Man still has a way to go before all will have to accept we need to work together as one to make this world great.

Every country and continent has had its horrors. However written history didn't exist everywhere. Europe is fortunate, or maybe unfortunate, in the fact that so much of its history is still available to us.

Feudalism, Dictatorship, Fascism, Corruption and the Dealth Penalty have all existed worldwide, not only in Europe but in Asia and Africa.
The modern German language is German, not Prussian. And even if it were Prussian, what would be so bad about that?
Prussians were not more murderers than Chinese, Russians, Arabs, Indians or Turks.
Prussians did not cause WW1 or WW2. WW1 was caused by both sides, and WW2 was caused in Asia by the Japanese and in Europe by the Nazis who came from Southern Germany and not Prussia.
The Holy Roman Empire added German Nation in its name in the 15th century already and did NOT exist until the 1870s.
And the Roman Empire was not worse than most empires of Asia, Africa or the Americas.
You need to learn history.
And it was Europe that abolished slavery first, that existed worldwide on every single continent. The last countries with official slavery were Muslim countries.

The quest for power. Demographics, geographics, ethnic congregations - these are all controlled by politics. Countries vie to be the biggest and the strongest and thus wage war on each other.

History is not your best subject.

Because of Human Nature and, as someone mentioned, the needs of Agriculture to be able to produce food to get society through the long wet cold winters. So more efficient ways of doing things were always being sought, land take-overs were being planned etc.
And anyway, China with its many brutal dynasties, had been there, done that and got the T shirt 4 or five times over before medieval Europe even got started.

And despite all that, the inhabitants of a small corner of the world were the first to industrialise, the first to project their power to other parts of Eurasia, Africa, Australia, the Americas and across the Pacific... They were the ones who invaded, conquered, occupied and annexed people on other continents and clung to far-flung territories - in some cases still do to this very day... They were the ones to spread their religion, languages and cultures on a global scale and continue to dominate economically, militarily, culturally and politically. A nation forged by Europeans is the most powerful country in the world today, and you think Europe is "bad"? I think your ability to think needs work. Europe spawned some of the greatest thinkers, inventors, strategists, navigators and leaders in history.

Because you do not know the history of the other continents.
