What's this type of USB cable for Canon Legria camcorders?
Got this USB port on my camcorder, I can't find the cable so I'm looking to buy a replacement. What is this type even called? I thought it was micro USB at first but after closer inspection, the shape is different.

A very common connector for cameras of this era is the USB mini. it is a little larger than the USB micro typical of cellphones. you should be able to find one at a dollar store.

see the website link for visual details. it needs to be usb-A for a laptop socket and looks like other canon cables use non micro connection ie usb mini-b for the camera end.Source(s): https://www.cablestogo.com/learning/connector-guid... https://www.digi-quick.co.uk/canon-legria-pcu-usb-...

Most camera manufacturers use proprietary connectors,
many of which look generic but aren't.
Some cables are replicated by third parties
and can be had for lower prices than the originals;
others are available Only from the camera's manufacturer and are Never cheap.
Try to find an eBay source for the cable you need,
but Don't Buy Anything until you are Sure the seller has a legitimate good rating.
