Using a generic WD40?

I bought a Lube from the dollar store it's a generic of WD40 and I used it on a plastic surface, how do I get rid of the awful smell? does it eventually disappear?

WD 40 may be fish oil. You could get some real stinkers in generic WD 40. In any event, don't put in on plastic surfaces. Wash it off with soap and water.

I don't have a clue what product you have. It may be sold for uses similar to what WD-40 is used for. It IS NOT a generic version of WD-40. There are far too many products you could be describing to comment without knowing the specific product.
