NOT always!  It depends on the brand of the dye and product info that is uninterpretable.   The dyes can be natural as in Henna where there is no trace of damage.

When it comes to YOUR hair, make the chemicals protect you and your hair.

Chemicals can make or break you, your skin and hair.  It pays off to have a seasoned stylist that knows chemicals well.

Also like bleaching...  a stylist asks "do you bleach your own hair"?  She/he can see, feel and smell your hair as a big part of their assessment.  You can answer "NO",  I'm just outside a lot with my job as a "lifeguard".  But you see, the hair does not separate sources of bleach on hair.  The sun bleaches hair equally with chemicals.  No matter the source, bleached hair is damaged and can not tolerate any thing more.

It does. It weakens the hairs structure a little more each time it's done

It can as chemicals wear the hair out. It's

Like painting grass or other living things.

    It compromises it's health.
