I did factory reset on my Android smartphone because I had a malware. I checked that the phone isn't rooted. Is the spyware removed for sure?

Update:

The malware is a spyware made to spy my credit card info btw...

If you need to explain malware to someone then I wouldn't want their answer. Yes, everything should have been removed with the reset.
