Why did Yahoo remove the ability for Level 7 Users to move everyone’s questions to their preferred category?

Because a few users took it upon themselves to abuse the feature to the point that some subcategories had dozens of questions in them, and not a single one was related to the topic of that subcategory. The suggestion for removal was made, in the feedback forum, and there was plenty of evidence of abuse (all over the site). Questions that were violations were being dumped in inappropriate subcategories by the scores, but so were questions that weren't violations. Since EVERY user can move their own question, Yahoo removed the ability for Level 7s to abuse the site and harass other users, by misusing the question moving feature. What they SHOULD have done (IMO) is simply change the criteria for being 'awarded' that feature (not base it simply on points) AND have had a way for users to report abuse of it, so that those who had it and abused it, got it taken away (permanently).

Because there were people abusing the capability.

Some level 7 members abused the privilege.

Because it was bound to happen sooner or later. The majority of users here were complaining about it and I don't blame them because I hated it too... It was an extremely annoying feature.

Because a lot of people have made Complaints to Yahoo about Level 7 users moving Questions to Incorrect Category while some people have used the Feature Correctly and Moved Questions that were in the Wrong Category to the Right there are a lot of people that did not use the Feature Correctly and Moved a lot of Questions that were in the Right Category to the Wrong Category
For all the Right Reasons Yahoo Responded and took it Away Back in September

Because the stupid anonymous TROLLS whined and cried about it.

Apparently Yahoo had too high a level of expectations for the maturity of level 7 users. And ended that privilege due to its endless abuse.

Abuse of power .......,

Because it was being abused by certain L7s who'd move users' questions to obscure or irrelevant subcategories for spite.
