What is a mental condition whereby an elderly person is nervous and shouts a lot and accuses quiet people around them of being scornful?

It sounds as if the person is slipping into dementia.

Why are you picking on us old people, we didn't do anything to you?
We DON'T HAVE A MENTAL CONDITION, it's your fault we get nervous and shout.

Why does it have to be a "mental" condition? I find that sometimes I just don't like the way younger people act, or that I may be tired, or just don't want to be involved in dialogue. I like quiet, too, but shouting is stupid, ridiculous, and childish; something my grandkids do until they can understand why they don't need to shout---like under 7 years old. It could be I lack patience, but I don't think what you describe is a mental condition entirely.

If you are concerned about this then ask one of the medics in charge of this person's care.

I myself wouldn't feel safe working with this person.
