Astronomy Question?
This is a question in my astronomy class even though its like a comp science question... Have no clue how to do this please help!
Update: I just realized it has something to do with the Arecibo message.

The little people from space have sent a greet. It appears to be in English for some reason.

Count the characters. Should be some total number that is product of two numbers. For example, total = X times Y
Divide the string into segments X long, and stacked in a grid Y high. You will see some message that way.
Same was done with the Arecibo message.
I couldn't correlate anything from this and zero search results about the Arecibo message.

A meaningless string of binary digits.
Claims to be a text string but matches no known standard. Not ASCII, not EBCEDIC, not even any matching keyboard string. Encrypted ?? Permutated. Nothing correlates.
K, thanks, you have links to this, I am a bit into the radio stuff.
Actually, those are the Lemoinan characters for "All your planet is ours".
