Adopted baby rabbit runt with deformed small lungs, has anyone experienced this? Do I insure him?
This week I adopted an unwanted beautiful boy rabbit who was up for adoption with an animal charity. He is the runt of the litter, only 12 weeks old and almost half the size of his litter mates. The vet confirmed his lungs are very small, and will be prone to respiratory infections. I’ve had many rabbits so im aware of all the basics but I’ve never come across this condition before, I can’t find any info online... Has anyone had a rabbit with this before? Will he have a good life? Is it pointless to insure him as this is a pre-existing condition/ birth deformity? I want the best life for him. Name suggestions also welcome.
