People are crossing the border with children they claim are their children when it is not true.

US should hand over all minor children (& young adults claiming to be minor children!) to their countries' consulates for immediate repatriation & reunification with relatives. This entire situation - parents hiring smugglers to bring children across the border, thinking they won't be deported, will be fed & housed & cared for - must be stopped. NO unaccompanied minors allowed! Hand them over to their country's authorities for immediate repatriation.

Nothing to do with sex trafficking and everything to do with the law of unintended consequences. If you lock up childless illegals/asylum seekers and release those who are accompanied by children, you are giving these migrants a huge incentive to bring children with them whether the children are theirs or not.
Of course it can be argued that the whole concept of discriminating between those who do and those who do not bring children is wrong. But that is another subject.
