Not exactly.  Abdominal or core exercises build muscle. They can help a person improve the appearance of their core area.  It is unlikely that the calories used to do those exercise would have much impact on fat loss.

Fat loss is 80% diet.  You can't spot reduce.  When you eat fewer calories than you need, your body burns stored fat. Where that fat comes from is not something you can control, but if you have extra abdominal fat and you diet, you will eventually decreases the fat stores in that area.

You cannot spot reduce fat with exercise. Lipo is the only way to spot reduce.

    us a clue?

No, those are virtually useless. You should go for extensive cardio if you wanna lose fat around your stomach.
