Is it possible to do the following with an iMac, iPhone and iPad...?
Is it possible to use Excel on all three devices in such a way that I can create a worksheet document on one device, send copies of it to the other two devices, then at any later date be able to update the document on any one of the devices and have the revised document reflect the change on the other two devices without me having to do it?

You can use cloud storage services such as DropBox and Google drive. They automatically update the file for any device that is connected.

Install the MS Office app to all your devices and always save to your iCloud.

Excel, as part of Microsoft Office, has automatic OneDrive integration. It'll follow you to any device (Mac, iOS, Android, Windows) that you sign into OneDrive to as long as you use the same Microsoft account across the devices you want to use. They give you 5GB for free or 1000GB if you have an Office 365 subscription.

Yes, if it is uploaded to a common server and the devices have access to the same account. It can be retrieved in the revised edition.
