    Yes. Times have changed (in the "western" world anyway) and no child has any kind of guarantee of being raised by two parents even when they are created by a (so-called) committed couple. The old days of thinking women and men will finish school (if they are privileged), get married and start a family that will stay together forever is just not the reality anymore - it's all too easy to disregard whatever vows were made and walk away from your responsibilities. Should every woman and man who finds themselves not in a committed relationship, as their biological clock ticks down, be denied the right to be a parent? Not IMO. A child's most basic need is to know they are wanted and loved. There's no reason a single parent cannot provide that.

    Not when the world has a population crisis

    We need quality not quantity

    Every child is an investment and needs the best possible nurture
