Birds hate the caps lock button. Watch out.

Birds do fine in the rain. Their feathers protect them for the most part. Winds can provide a larger challenge for them, and hail - forget about it.

Some fair better in the rain because of oil on their feathers. Songbirds usually need to hunker down in a heavy rainstorm and find a safe place to perch off the ground so the cats don’t eat them.

Before we all had cell phones and weather alerts, watching the birds was a good way of knowing when severe weather was on its way. If all of a sudden the birds disappear into the trees and they all stop singing, find shelter immediately because that means heavy rain, large hail, or even a tornado is coming.
