Would space suits protect against disease or biological/chemical infections?

    Well, they are airtight and watertight, so yes, as long as you don't open them

    A regular hazmat suit would do that for millions of dollars less

    from an external source, yes. But there is no disease in outer space, no any biological infections.

    They'd get pretty damn warm. Why not just use a hazmat suit?
