Cancer is a medical condition - which is sometimes classed as a disease - when the body's cells begin to divide and uncontrollably grow too fast, and as a result, can potentially spread to other parts of the body. There's multiple different types of cancer, such as those of the digestive tract, the respiratory system, the reproductive organs, skin, eyes and mouth.

There's 3 main ways which cancer is treated. Either surgery to remove the cancerous cells, through chemotherapy (when someone takes medication which kills the cancer cells) or radiotherapy (when X-rays are used).

A cancer is a cell that has lost its normal control mechanisms and thus has unregulated growth.

Cancer can develop from any tissue within any organ. Cancer cells grow and multiply, they form a mass of cancerous tissue that invade adjacent tissues and can spread around the body.(metastasize).

Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body.

Some are easier to cure (like skin cancer).   Others like Pancreatic Cancer are very deadly.
