Is the 'Camellia sasanqua Sekiyo' a flower?

Odd question I know, but I can't really find any information on it anywhere. I was wondering if it's an actual *type* of flower, or if it's just from a certain place and as such named differently or something like that.

It's a flowering shrub rather than a perennial flower. Sasanqua camellias are a species native to Japan and the far east, and 'Sekiyo' is a variety of that species.
