Pepto Dismal contains Sodium Bismuth which is toxic to dogs and other small mammals.  Do not give without a vet's advice.

If it is almost black, the dog is bleeding internally, & needs to see a Vet immediately.

Pepto Bismol is safe for dogs but not for long time use.

Because OBVIOUSLY human medicine was intended for dogs.

Cooked rice and chicken. Vet visit. No human medications without vet approval. You NEED to know the cause, and PB won't provide you with that. Also, some causes of diarrhea can be serious and need a diagnosis.

    Vet.

The darker the diarrhoea, generally the further up the dig. tract the problem is and that could mean he's bleeding from the stomach.

Get him straight to your vet for a PROPER diagnosis, which you won't get here.  And no more food, provided you see your vet TODAY -asap.   Make sure he has water available.

DO NOT USE HUMAN MEDS UNLESS YOUR VET PRESCRIBES IT.
