Why do Americans like to live in the fast lane but they build slow cars ?

    And who builds the fast cars? In any sort of volume.

    They don't. The cars they build go much faster than the fast lane. The fastest lanes in the U.S. are 70-75 mph. The cars would go over 110 -- if there was a lane that fast.

    I was a teen ager in the sixties when cars had tons of power. They were big and powerful. They were amazing but the big engines tended to overheat sometimes. Back then, fuel was cheap in America. I remember paying 23 cents a gallon. It was a sad day when everyone had to start driving cheap little cars like the ones in Europe.

    America was so free in the sixties. Now, everything is so regulated. Wearing seat belts is a good thing but who would have thought that we would be forced to wear them.

    Because American cars were built for responsible and vintage Americans who like classic cars. Chevy. Ford. GNC. I forgot the other ones. 😄
