people that just tell people to google everything: why don't you just google things in your spare time instead of using this yahoo answers?

    Some person lazy to use Google and don't try to spend their brain, So they use yahoo answers...

    People often ask questions here because it is a community, like a message forum is. It is also sometimes hard to find the exact info that you want doing google searches.

    i mostly google stuff first instead of asking the question on here, a lot of times i get answers that way so i dont even ask the question

    we're trying to help people who are unaware of the joys of google.

    just try it for a day. i guarantee you'll be a convert overnight.

    As an experienced researcher, I prefer going to the public (taxpayer-owned) libraries or book stores, anonymous.  Too many hidden-agenda domestic and foreign terrorists seeking to plant subversive, divisive, anti-democracy propaganda are online.  

    What Yahoo! Answers provides some of us is an opportunity to engage in what I call verbal swordplay or to perhaps teach under-informed folks some of the finer details of any given topic.  These public forums, like "Google" or "Facebook" and Yahoo! Answers should be required to post the origins of any comments or questions that appear.
