What are the pros and cons of tap dancing?

    Can't think of a single con except maybe, if one limited themselves to only one style. Except maybe ballet, not sure, but to become good enough to join a real ballet company I think you would have little time for the other genres.

    It depends on your future in dance.   If serious about ballet then learning too much tap dance is not good.  If you are just working towards being a commercial dancer then it is good to have all genre's under your belt. 

    The only con with tap would be if you had dodgy knees as it is constantly danced with flexed knees and heels off the floor although it does strengthen the muscles around the knee.  But then you wouldn't be doing too much of any dance if your knees were that bad.

    As an adult recreational subject it's good.   It does strengthen the muscles in the legs and although you need stamina tap requires less than some other forms.

    It's fun and it's exercise. It may not be the best exercise ever but you still burn calories. XD
