How come the Kiwi accent sounds pretty much like a British accent but the Aussy accent is much stronger?

I am British and lived in New Zealand for a bit but that was years ago, about 10 years actually ):

Still when I hear a kiwi accent it doesn't sound any different to a British accent apart from certain words.

Kiwis have a funny way of pronouncing vowels.

Because its a different country - Different countries have different accents. I think the kiwis accent is one of the best, (Irish tops)

I think the worse one is the South African accent. (Saarf Arficin)
