Is it safe to drink water from the basement and basement bathroom of a house in toronto ontario?

It's the same heavily-chlorinated water as you get upstairs.

It's the same water as from the upstairs taps.

All the water pipes are underground in Toronto! It makes no difference if you drink water from the top floor or the basement, the water flows from the same pipe source, its not more or less dangerous.
The water source in all Toronto homes comes from Lake Ontario! The water is taken from far out in Lake Ontario, and then heavily filtered before entering peoples homes in Toronto. It's very safe water to drink, so no, drinking from the basement bathroom will likely not get you sick in anyway.

This belongs in Home & Garden, not Travel.
Yes, Toronto water is quite safe, unlike in all the Flints in the 3rd world hellhole to our immediate south.

Of course. Toronto city water is probably better quality than most bottle water you can buy.

If it came out of a faucet, yes. I wouldn't lap it off the floor. Unless the house has a very very peculiar water supply with two different sources--and I've never heard of one like that anywhere in Canada--all the water that goes to faucets, showers, toilets, the garden hose, anywhere in the house, all comes from the same pipe that brought it to the house.

No. basement water is haunted. ALWAYS haunted. So if you drink it you drink the ghosts and they can then posses your urinary tract.
