Why would voter suppression be used in a US general election?

The constitution says all Americans have the right to vote.

Not only isn't it used, but in California you can give your ballot to someone else to fill out and deliver. No seal or ID needed.

The Constitution says no such thing and many Americans are unable to vote owing to felony records.

ILLEGALS ARE NOT A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES.. ITS not suppression to require a DRIVERS LICENSE, a BANK ACCOUNT, A SCHOOL ID... SO How about EVERY REAL AMERICAN HAS A GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID CARD... IT could be used also for check cashing ID, etc..

THOSE POOR PEOPLE THE DEMS cry about has NO PROBLEM getting their WELFARE CHECKS CASHED, going to a bank, Walmart, getting a Drivers license, going to the liqueur store...

SO HOW ABOUT THEM GETTING A ID THAT'S NOT VOTER SUPPRESSION like they want you to believe.. THEY JUST WANT MORE ILLEGAL VOTES TO BE COUNTED....

But, if certain groups want to WIN, they have to figure out ways to keep the opposition from voting. Common sense, reason, and fairness have nothing to do with American elections.

Voter suppression is often used to keep the other side from winning. It's how people in power keep their power.

To avoid enough votes being cast for conservatives to lose.

See, over time, a population ALWAYS gets more liberal as times change. Hard core conservatives fear this change and thus they try and suppress the votes that will change what they think the world should be.

Votes have always been suppressed either by local requirements aimed at keeping targeted groups form voting like the picture ID's and the literacy tests that were used in the segregated South to keep blacks form voting and tricks like closing the polls before people waiting in line to vote could not vote. Now some states are not letting college students vote in the town where they are gong to college since they are listed as living in another state. There are endless tricks to keep people from voting. And there are other tricks that have been used for years to stuff the ballot boxes like voting dead people which is usually done in cities like New York and Chicago. They even figure out ways where people can vote more than once.

Voter suppression keeps Republicans in power. That is why everything that party does is aiming to destroy democracy.
