The word " solve " is applied to equations and equations require an = sign.

Calculate 2 + 7 x 6

2 + 7 x 6 = 2 + ( 7 x 6 ) = 2 + 42 = 44

Multiplication and division take priority over addition and subtraction. Unless there are brackets, then you do what is inside the brackets first. In this case you do 7 x 6, which gives you 42, then you add the 2..giving you 44. If they had used brackets like this (2+7) x 6, then you would add first, getting 9 then multiply getting 54.

Always do it in the order of PEMDAS (parentheses, exponent, multiply or divide, add or subtract).

Start with 7x6. This equals 42.

Add 2 to 42 and your answer is 44.

Tl;dr 44
