    Yes,and it is called A Cup of Joe ,named after Josephus Daniels,Secretary of Navy under Woodrow Wilson.He banned alcohol on the ships.The strongest thing you could get was coffee.Hence:"Give me a cuppa Joe''..........not funny but it kinda fits.....

    It was "ground" a minute ago. Β "Ground" is a noun referring to earth, and the past participle of "to grind": Β I grind, I ground, I have ground.

    Coffee is sometimes called mud because it's been sitting on the heating element too long and some of the water has evaporated. It's a play on words: Β the beans have been ground, and the coffee is "thick" like mud.
