Yes. While sign stealing in baseball goes back to John Macgraw and Wee Willie Keeler, the use of technology has made it the mechanical equivalent of steroids. Is it any better than Pete Rose betting on games or Joe Jackson not ratting out his team mates for taking bribes to lose?

Baseball is becoming a sewer. The steroid records and awards should be erased as well. Clemens and ARod should never be allowed on thre Hall of Fame ballot. Cheaters should be cast into the darkness and their names expunged. Otherwise the purpose of sport, fair competition itself, is lost completely.

    • Although one could argue that while of course
steroids are bad, they’re not a guaranteed home run, as you’d still need to have a good eye to guess what pitch is coming and make good contact. Steroids don’t tell you what pitch is coming.
